What did work for me was tweaking my NIC settings. I have an onboard Marvel Yukon Gig-E and i changed these settings: Energy Star - Disabled Jumbo Packet - 4088 Max IRQ per Sec - 10000 Priority & VLAN - Disabled Receive Buffers - 512 Transmit Buffers - 512 This netted me a change in copy speeds from 2mb\s to 11mb\s. Still not fantastic, but better than nothing. I have tried every possible configuration including the new “request only” patch from MS.

What did work for me was tweaking my NIC settings.

Energy Star – Disabled
Jumbo Packet – 4088
Max IRQ per Sec – 10000
Priority & VLAN – Disabled
Receive Buffers – 512
Transmit Buffers – 512

This netted me a change in copy speeds from 2mb\s to 11mb\s. Still not fantastic, but better than nothing.
