話說之前我大約5年沒有拉小提琴，最近重新玩的時候，總覺得聲音不夠好，距離記憶中的聲音很遠，我還以為是自己記錯 (因為近年沒有玩小提琴，但常聽大師級的CD，可能記憶混淆了，哈)，甚至以為自己聽覺衰退…… 上星期拎小提琴去修理 (因為fingerboard不平、bridge太平)，前天終於拿回來了，除了兩項修理，soundpost也回了正常位置… 今天一試，聲音回來了，甚至比我記憶中更響亮！ 分別大得連我的小提琴老師也問我是不是買了新的小提琴！
另外 ，上星期買的 Glasser Braided Carbon Fibre bow 也令我非常滿足… 從前學不會的跳音，生疏了5年的我現在竟然開始掌握… 早知道就應該早點就換嘛！

I refuse to practise playing my violin when I’m around other people, even my family members, though I actually enjoy playing (but of course no one at home seems to believe me). I finally coughed up ~$200USD (plus $50CAD custom fee and tax!) for a cheap electric violin on Ebay. I know for that $250 I could have used it to upgrade my acoustic violin or my bow, but at least I’m practising now.
Oh.. and my bow crapped out finally so I need to replace it… and the fingerboard on the violin needs planing… and the tailpiece needs changing. It isn’t too bad, considering this is my violin’s FIRST EVER maintainance/service ever since I started playing!
I’ve never tuned my violin the “normal” way — play two open strings together and listen for the perfect 5th. Never. I’ve always relied on my (less-than-perfect-)perfect pitch and tune each string separately. Now that I’ve lost my perfect pitch, I can’t tune my violin properly. SUCKS! SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!! Sigh…. Now I finally need to LEARN to tune.
我發現呢班人d技術好似比我以前o係度既時候好… 不過有d野係唔變，就係年紀比較細既都係唔慣留意個指揮，而今次幾乎所有歌都係要好留意指揮既…… oh well, 都過左去喇，如果下個 season 仲有機會玩的話，我會準備得好d。
