So yesterday I spent more than half the day trying to get that screwed up harddrive to boot up again, but couldn’t. Even BartPE refused to boot up if that screwed-up drive was connected. So then I used BartPE to back up my data drive, installed Vista on this data drive, then backed up the data of the screwed-up harddrive. These all went well… Continue reading »
A few hours ago I said I was going to try installing XP to an external USB drive, in hope that it will work and I can then backup my files. It worked, on my laptop, but not my screwed-up main system. Maybe the motherboard is too old for this kind of USB booting. Enter BartPE again… Continue reading »
I have decided to add a Windows XP partition to my existing Windows Vista system, for gaming purposes. I found a couple of tutorials on the net and followed them exactly as written, only to be left with a system that contains Vista and half of XP, and not bootable at all. GREAT! Continue reading »
